TERAMAT II
Control and formulation of sustainable materials based on new digital technologies utilizing electromagnetic interaction with recycled and bio-based plastic materials in the terahertz range.
- Continuation of the TeraMAT I project (AEI 2023 call), the TeraMAT II project (reference AEI‑010500‑2024‑116) was carried out from July 29, 2024 to July 8, 2025.
- Its main goal is to create an open digital platform for certification and traceability of recycled plastic materials by combining terahertz inspection technology with blockchain.
Funding and consortium
-
Total budget: €246,668
-
Subsidy: €192,306
-
Consortium members: CEP, CITSALP, das‑Nano, Bestplant, Zertifier, Gaiker, and MAV
Main objectives
-
Quantify paint residues in recycled polypropylene at industrial scale using terahertz technology.
-
Develop a collaborative platform based on blockchain to securely and immutably certify measurements and ensure traceability throughout the value chain.
